Virginia Highlands Community College is a proud partner of the Virginia Appalachian Tricollege Nursing Program, an associate’s degree program that prepares graduates for careers as a Registered Nurse (RN). The full-time program can be completed in just two years, but a part-time evening and weekend program is also available for those whose busy schedules prevent them from attending full time. VHCC also offers an RN-to-LPN Program on both a full-time and part-time basis.

Our program combines classroom lecture with more than 500 hours of hands-on clinical instruction that prepares our nurses to deliver quality patient care. Graduates are in high demand by our region’s major healthcare systems and earn an average starting salary of $52,280. Many of our graduates have continued their education, earning advanced degrees that lead to even greater earning potential.
