Every program is well-designed to guide and prepare students to enter further education and employment in fields of importance to our region.

B - HELPING STUDENTS ENTER A PATHWAY

Every student, including the many who arrive without clear plans for college and careers, is helped to explore career/ college options and choose a program of study as soon as possible.
3. Special supports are provided to help academically unprepared students to succeed in the “gateway” courses for the college’s major program areas
(such as BIO 101, Anatomy & Physiology, ECO 201, ACC 211, Psych 200, American history, etc.)

4. Required math courses are appropriately aligned with the student’s field of study.

5. Intensive support is provided to help very poorly prepared students to success in college-level courses as soon as possible.

C - PROGRESS

The college is able to identify when students are at risk of falling off their program plans and for intervening effectively when this happens.
7. Students can easily see how far they have come and what they need to do to complete their program and prepare for further education and employment.
